Ever wondered what the hype around Vivid Sydney is? Is it really that ‘Vivid’ as the name suggests? Want to know how you can get THAT picture with all the sparkly lights lighting up the famous sights of Sydney like the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge?

UNSW PhotoClub is going to Vivid 2022!! 

 

Hello PhotoClubbers, 

Vivid Sydney is a world renowned, not to be missed, seasonal attraction of Sydney featuring beautiful lights, amazing artworks from artists all over the world. After being cancelled for the last couple of years, this year’s event is set to be one of the largest, if not THE largest, Vivid Sydney Event that has ever been seen. Join us as we complete part of Light Walk from Circular Quay through Walsh Bay and to Barangaroo to explore the different lights and see Sydney lit up in a way that you’ve never seen before. 

 

We’ll be meeting at Circular Quay Light Rail Stop at 5:50 pm and taking a slow stroll through from Circular Quay, through The Rocks and along the Harborfront to Walsh Bay and then onwards to Barangaroo to take in some of the sculptures and lights that have been set up. We’ll be finishing up near Wynyard Station for this trip. 

 

If you are coming from UNSW after our PhotoTalk, please get on the L3 Light Rail from Anzac Parade Stop at 17:15 to ensure you can reach Circular Quay on time. Alternatively, you can catch the Bus 396 at 17:16 from NIDA, Anzac Pde. 

 

The Lights and Sights of Sydney’s Vivid Festival is offered to you all for FREE but there are limited spaces available so please register to secure your spot and let us know of your availability as part of our COVID19 infection control measures.

  • Camera -DSLR, MILC, Compact, Film, Mobile, as long as it takes pictures 
  • Comfortable pair of walking shoes 
  • Tripod 
  • MASKS!!!! Mandatory on public transport and during the events 
  • Water and snacks
  • Opal Card
