Week 2 Outing: Cockatoo Island!

Still want some more portraiture shots? Well this week you can do an outdoor photo shoot! Cockatoo Island also boasts breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and houses archaic landmarks for urbex photography.
We will be meeting at Circular Quay, Wharf 5 @ 2:25pm for a 2:45pm ferry. It won’t wait so please be on time!
Please note that we will not be stopping for food, hence we recommend bringing a snack and drink to keep you fuelled for the walk.
Please keep an eye on the Facebook event on Saturday in case of wet weather.

- Camera – DSLR, MILC, Compact, Film, Phone, as long as it takes pictures!
- Tripod
- Sunscreen and hat
- Comfortable walking shoes

Workshop A

This week, we will continue running Workshop A – Exposure. This workshop is a simple introduction on how a camera works. It familiarises you with the exposure triangle, which includes aperture, ISO and shutter speed, and how to use the camera to manipulate them.

This week, we will begin running Workshop B – Focus. This workshop will give you a complete breakdown of how a camera focuses, its different focus modes and how to use them to your advantage. We will also be covering some other basics including depth of field, dynamic range and white balance.
