Mobile Photography!

As the saying goes, the best camera you have is the one that’s on you. You probably have one in your hand or in your pocket right now. That’s right, it’s your mobile phone!

Join Charlotte and Connor as they show you how you can tackle landscapes, food photography, architecture, etc. with DSLR quality using only your mobile.

Sunday Outing: Parramatta Park Photo Walk

Date: Sunday 22/5/2016
Time: 1:45 – 6:00 pm
Location: Parramatta Park (meet at Central 2:00, Parramatta at 2:45)

Come join us on our last photo walk of the semester! This weekend we head far west, to where the eels lie, Parramatta. As a city full of heritage with its charming churches, peaceful parks and historical houses, it is in no shortage of many opportunities to snap stunning shots! If that wasn’t enough, we will watching the sunset on the ferry back.

We will be meeting at 14:00 at Platform 7, Central Station, towards the northern end, to catch the 14:18 train to Parramatta Station. 

Please do not be late, as trains will not wait for us. Also, we will not be stopping for food, so please eat beforehand or bring a snack. It will be a 2 hour walk, before we catch the 16:35 ferry back to Circular Quay.

Feel free to stick around afterwards for dinner with your favourite PhotoClubbers.

Keep an eye on the Facebook event on Saturday in case of wet weather.

Please bring:

  • Camera – DSLR, Mirrorless, Compact, Film, Phone, as long as it takes pictures!
  • Comfortable Walking Shoes
  • Sunscreen and a bottle of water to stay safe in the sun
  • Opal card for the ferry ($2.50 cap on Sundays)

Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting

A short EGM will be held before our Week 11 photography tutorial. The agenda for the meeting is to have a re-election of the following senior executive roles: Secretary, Communications Manager.

2016 Mid-Year Canberra Road Trip!

Get excited – we’re going to Canberra! Join us on one of our famous road trips as we explore our nation’s capital and all the lovely views along the way.

There will be no shortage of scenery with the numerous lakes, gardens and parks scattered around the leafy surrounds of the garden city. Canberra is also home to many monuments, museums and grand examples of modern architecture. And of course there’s more to see on the way there and back, all over three days!

The road trip team is working hard to finalise all the details. We’ll keep you updated this Friday and through other emails – stay tuned!
