Have you ever been to birthday party and wished you took a better photo of your friend’s special moment? Or have you ever been asked by your parents to photograph them on their wedding anniversary? In those moments, did you wish that you knew how to make your photographs turn out better? Fortunately for you, we’ve got you covered. This Friday, we’ll have, Chris James, an experienced event photographer that’ll tell you all the things you need to know about how to photograph events! So, if you’re keen on capturing great photos on those special occasions, keep this Friday free! This is a public event so invite your friends to come along!

Week 3: Weekend Photo Challenge!
Date: Saturday 17th-19th August 2013
Location: ANYWHERE
Instead of an outing this weekend, we’ve got a challenge for you to do! We’d like you to photograph anything you find on the street (an empty bottle, a dog, a book, etc.) and try to make it look cool by using lighting. Some examples of awesome things you can do with light are silhouettes, flares, and high contrasts. These are just examples though, so don’t limit your creativity with them! We’d like to see what you can come up with!
Upload your photos by Monday, 11.59 PM AEST on the UNSW Photoclub’s Photo Sharing/Advice group here. Also write in your post, “Submission for Lighting Challenge”. So we know you’re participating. Only one submission per person!
The winner will be chosen by the executive team and will receive a camera strap! Good luck and don’t forget to have fun!
