Hey Photoclubbers! Thinking film is dead? Well, it isn’t for sure! For this Friday’s PhotoTalk, we are going to talk about film photography, from covering the basics to types of film & formats, the developing process, film camera recommendations and some cool facts about film photography. For those who have no idea what film is or who are interested in getting into film but don’t know where to begin, don’t worry as there will be a live demo on how to use film equipment. Join us and explore the analog world together!

Week 1 Outing: Cockatoo Island

Welcome to our first week outing to an UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cockatoo Island! This unique location boasts breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour and houses archaic landmarks for architecture. Capture the industrial past of abandoned shipyards, heritage buildings and how it sits within the context of modern Sydney Harbour.
We will be meeting at Circular Quay Wharf 5 at 1:50pm for a 2:07pm ferry. It won’t wait so please be on time! The ferry will also stop at Barangaroo Wharf 1 at 2:18pm which you can take if it’s easier transport route for you.
Please note that we will not be stopping for food, hence we recommend bringing a snack and drink to keep you fuelled for the walk.
Items to bring:
Camera – DSLR, MILC, Compact, Film, Mobile,
as long as it takes pictures!
Comfortable pair of walking shoes
Sunscreen
Water bottle and snacks
