We will cover light painting (which we’ll then try out at our Week 1 outing), capture amazing nightscapes and fireworks as well as astro scenes. Our tips and tricks will allow you to improve your skills, on any camera or phone. We will also be holding an EGM (Extraordinary General Meeting) during the Week 1 tutorial. The agenda for the meeting is: 1. Apologies. 2. Election of the following senior executive positions: Vice-President, Secretary, Arc Delegate and Events Manager. 3. Business without notice. We will go through the nominations received and then hold a vote to elect the execs! If you wish to nominate yourself or somebody else, email us at [email protected] with an expression of interest. Don’t worry, the EGM will be brief and we will still be holding our Night and Astrophotography tutorial straight after. And hang around with us afterwards for FREE pizza & drinks!! This workshop is a simple introduction on how a camera works. It familiarises you with the exposure triangle, which includes aperture, ISO and shutter speed, and how to use the camera to manipulate them. In week 3, Workshop B – Focus, will begin running. It will give you a complete breakdown of how a camera focuses, its different focus modes and how to use them to your advantage. We will also be covering some other basics including depth of field, dynamic range and white balance. The workshop times will be posted in the UNSW PhotoClub 2019 Facebook group – join it here if you haven’t already! |
