Greetings and salutations, fellow Photoclubbers! How has your week been? Some of you must have had a great time at Centennial Park yea? I have to say the week for the club is no less than AWESOME SMAWESOME!
We are exxxtremely pleased with the turnout for our very first tutorial this year! I guess every of the exec were just awed, and felt so proud of the club. Well, at least that’s how I felt π We were at CLB 6, and the theatre was FILLED. Members QUEUED to have their name taken down on the attendance list.
Honestly, my words are not doing justice to what really took place on Friday. We, Photoclubbers, only believe in pictorial evidence! I’ll do visuals. Photo credits: Kelvin Chua.
Halfway sitting in the lecture, I whispered to my seat partner that our VP Andrew really does have what it takes to be a good lecturer π If you wanna see it for yourself (which you totally should), I suggest you come for the subsequent tutorials!
It almost seem like we have more people attending Photoclub tutorial compared to some other uni lectures! π
And on the tutorial day itself, we also signed up 20-ish other new members! :D:D
And when they say food binds people, it cannot be more true for our pizza session. I’m sure many of you would have met a couple of new friends, added each other on Facebook and be merry! Trust me when I say, friends having the same interest does go a very very long waaayyy π
Thank you all for having faith in us, believing that our tutorial will help you in some way or another, and didn’t just entertain us by signing up during Oweek.
In addition, there is this group of people that truly deserves this special mention of thank you and it’s none other than the team behind all the planning and organising of the tutorials, outings and pizza nights.
Just look at the number of boxes of pizzas we’ve got! And say hi to Adam, and Andrew!
After the mingling session over slices of pizzas, we actually had the critic session. And really, we thought that no one would attend the critic session and we’ll just be showing pictures to ourselves. However, we are very surprised that the lecture theatre was still a third filled with members!
And having members sharing their photos!
As much as we were very pleased with the turnout and outcome of this week’s tutorial, we hope you are equally satisfied with what we had offered. We hope your knowledge of the basics of photography had expanded because you made the right choice in coming for our tutorial! π The club promises to be better ourselves in every week, because our members deserve nothing but the best π
P.S: How was the Centennial Park walkabout for you? You are very welcomed to post your pictures on Facebook, and tag us @Unsw Photoclub or share it on our Flickr group! We’d really reaaallly love to see what you’d captured π
Have a great week ahead. And I’ll be back in mid-week to give you the details for Week 2 tutorial and outings!
(Don’t forget you can take part in our monthly competition and get to win some very attractive prizes. Details here!)
