Portraiture & Macro Photography (Friday)

Portrait shots looking a little dull? Not sure how to spice it up? Want to improve the relationship between your camera lens and human subject?
Come along to this week’s tutorial and learn about the tech specs, tips and tricks on how to capture a beautiful portrait. We will also touch on how to use lighting natural/artificial lighting effectively.
*If you are participating in the upcoming hands-on portraiture workshop, its recommended that you come along to get some tips and tricks for the day!

The second part of the tutorial will be an introduction to the world of close-up photography! In this tutorial we will cover the equipment, theory and techniques involved in taking photos of things on a small scale, from true macro photography on the scale of small insects and plants through to tabletop product photography. In particular we will cover the use of consumer point-and-shoot cameras as well as digital SLRs with a variety of lenses and the use of off-camera lighting with both improvised equipment and standard flashes.

*Please bring your cameras! Will aid learning.

Night Cityscape Outing (Saturday)

Have fun with your camera in the city – After Sunset! Join us this coming Saturday evening to have a trip around various part of the city to take some amazing photos of Sydney after dark. See you all there!
