Feeling a little bit snowed under with assignments? Love combining photography with adventure? Seeing a Whale up close and personal with the setting sun in the background sounds like the perfect Sunday afternoon thing to do for you? Join UNSW PhotoClub as we will bring YOU close to these massive natural beauties. Keep a keen eye on whales as they migrate from their breeding grounds up north towards their feeding grounds in the frigid Antarctic.
The costs for this trip come to $39 for Arc members and $43 for Non-Arc members (down from $69!!! Thanks PhotoClub!) per registrant which includes a 2.5-hour Whale Watching cruise run by Captain Cook Cruises.

Term 2 Week 7 Outing: Plane Spotting at Shep’s Mound

Time: 08:30 – 13:00
Meeting Location: T3 domestic terminal

PhotoClub & Aviation Society are collaborating for plane spotting! We will be going to Shep’s Mound to take photos of rare aircraft such as B777 and A380.
We will meet you at the T3 domestic terminal at 08:30 and bring you to Shep’s Mound by taking the shuttle bus. Alternatively, we will meet at 09:00 at Shep’s Mound for doing plane spotting. Please don’t be late if you don’t know how to get there.
Things to bring
- Camera (DSLR, Mirrorless, phone – anything that takes a photo)
- Comfortable and warm clothes
- Water and snacks
- Masks!! Mandatory on public transport, in the airport terminal, and during the events
- Opal Card with enough money
- Sunscreen

Want to explore the exciting world of “Food and Product Photography”? Well, we have just the perfect opportunity for you. Come join us this Friday as we talk about the basics and different genres of food and product photography. We will further be talking about composition techniques, light manipulation and effective storytelling to make your pictures really stand out. Our ultimate goal is to help you shoot your food/products in the best mood possible! We hope to inspire you and are keen to meet you!
