Week 8: Film Photography

“Film is not dead, it just smells funny” – Anonymous. Once in a while it is nice to take a break from our technology driven world, and look into the history of photography. So pick up your parent’s old camera and come along to the tutorial to learn about a whole different world of photography, still alive today, that many have never experienced. Many of the industries older, more successful photographers argue that film photography forces you to improve as a photographer, teaching you composition and lighting.

Week 8: Darling Harbour Fireworks Outing
Date: Saturday 4th May 2013
Time: 7:00pm onwards
Location: Darling Harbour
To put our recently learnt night photography skills to the test, we wil be heading out to see our beautiful Sydney Harbour at it’s greatest. It is the perfect opportunity to wind down and enjoy some magical fireworks after a stressful week.
Meeting: Outside the Sydney Convention Centre at the circular water sculpture at 7:00pm. We will walk around beforehand and test out some other night photography techniques, then head towards the fireworks! The fireworks will start at 8:30, so make sure to arrive beforehand to secure a good location.
*Note: Remember to bring your cameras, and tripods if you have one!
