Week 6 workshop beckons! And this week, we’ll be touching on one of the most important aspects of photography – LIGHTS. We’d talked about natural light, and it’s now time to talk artificial lights, about flash and strobes! Even more so since the Studio Model Workshop is coming up on Saturday!
Well it does sounds technical, but it really isn’t that so! ‘Cause we’ll be showing you the different lighting set ups, and show you how to use the flashes and strobes! After the tutorial, there’ll be hands-on experiment! Some of you can act as studio models, for the others to take studio shots while making use of the lighting set up π So do take note that we’ll be starting 30 minutes earlier than usual, in order to incorporate this ‘play time’ π So feel free to bring your ‘toys’ along! Your cameras, your flashes, whatever you think you’d need in a studio!
Date: Friday, 8th April 2011

Surprise! Surprise! This week, we will have a guest speaker for our tutorial! We’d invited Edward Hor, a professional lifestyle and editorial photographer whose speciality is in glamour photography using portable studio lights. In this hour, he will speak about his expertise, the gear he uses, the kind of lighting set ups he works in, and how to shoot in different locations with his portable studio lights etc etc! If you want to find out how to get a headstart in glamour photography and/or owning portable studio lights, he’s the best person to answer your queries! So be sure to come for this talk, that’s happening after the studio lighting workshop.
