Annual General Meeting (AGM)

UPDATE: After the AGM, we will be announcing the winners and runners-up for this years Annual Photobook Competition, having a chit-chat about the photos, and then stuffing our faces with pizza. So come along!

We will be conducting our AGM for our week eight event. The current President and Treasurer will give the 2015/16 presidential report and treasurer’s report respectively. There will be a vote for the 2016/17 Marketing Manager.

We will also be voting for the following constitutional change:
– The Communications Manager is to write and send out the weekly newsletters

A vote will also be held to retain the executive team elected during the EGM in week 4, semester 2, 2016.

We’re having a pizza night this week after our AGM and Annual Photobook winners and runners-up announcement! It’s free pizza for all PhotoClub members. Grab a slice and use this time to have a chat with everyone as we love interacting with you guys!

Week 8: Light the Night with Beams Art Festival!

Add a splash of colour, a flash of light, a dash of live music and live performances and what do you get? That’s right, you get the amazing, vibrant and energetic Beams Art Festival!!

Join us as UNSW PhotoClub takes on this annual festival of light, art and performance situated in Chippendale around Central Park. There will be live music, light installations, dancers and other performers and awesome dining experiences for you and your camera to capture. Festivalgoers will also enjoy the opportunity to directly participate through hands-on art-making and workshops. This festival only comes around once per year, so don’t miss out on what’s shaping up to be an awesome night out!!

We will be meeting at the Grand Concourse in Central Station at 1730, where we will begin our outing. Look for the PhotoClub execs holding the UNSW PhotoClub flag. The closest railway station is Central and then we will take a short walk. If you are having difficulty making your way there, please do not hesitate to contact us by calling our points of contact listed above.

Please note that there will be a numerous amount of food outlets in the general vicinity of our outing, so if you wish to grab a bite to eat beforehand we recommend doing so as they will likely be inundated with other festival goers once the festival starts.

Please keep an eye on the Facebook event here on Saturday in the case of wet weather.

We all love food, and clearly from the overwhelming amount of posts on Instagram, we love taking photos of it too! But sometimes our photos aren’t as mouth-watering as the real deal. If you’re keen to know how to get your photos looking cookbook professional, come along this Friday and learn from one of the best in the business.

Simon Park is one of the finest food and lifestyle bloggers Sydney has to offer. Being the man behind “The Heart of Food” he explores the realm of food photography one bite at a time. Simon has been published in Gourmet rabbit and has been involved with a number of commercial and private projects including the high profile SMH “Shoot the Chef” competition.
